Earth Day! What We Can Do To Save the Earth.

Today we learned about ways that we can save the Earth.  We used our SMART board to watch Moby the robot practice ways to keep our Earth clean and beautiful.  Next, we used starfall.com to read a book about cleaning up the environment.  During the book the students had a chance to touch items and move them into the different piles for recycling.  Finally, we created our own Earth and each student wrote ways that they can help save the Earth.  We had a great day!  HAPPY EARTH DAY EVERYONE!

What can you do to help save the Earth? Leave us a comment...we would love to read it.

  1. We practice Earth Day every day. In our household, we compost, we garden our own fruits and veggies, and we recycle. We also limit driving when possible. This year, to celebrate Earth Day, the younger kids and I went around to surrounding neighborhoods to collect garbage. We seperated recycles from regular trash and cleaned up the streets. We also started a newer small garden and a new compost pile...

  2. Wow! I love that your family practices Earth Day every day. I noticed your pictures on your family blog and will show the class on Monday. I would love for Trevor to share about the garden and what he likes about it. Thanks for posting.
