Homework Due This Week!

Friendly Frogs-

Remember to bring back your monthly homework packet to show me all your learning. I can't wait to see all your hard work at home. :)

Busy Bees-

Your homework packet is due on Friday. :)

Special Visitor

Last week, the Busy Bees and the rest of their kindergarten friends had a surprise visitor drop in to see them. It was Conner's father Mr. Gates who is a fireman at the Pierce Township Fire Department. Mr. Gates showed us what he would be wearing if he had to come to our house for a fire. He let us come up to touch his uniform and mask so that we would not be scared if we would ever see them in a fire. Thank you Mr. Gates for giving such a wonderful presentation to the kindergarten classes at AE!

Tool Boxes!

The Busy Bees were busy creating 3D objects with our friends from Home Depot.  Mr. Charlie and Ms. Heather helped the students create their own tool boxes.  The students enjoyed nailing, hammering, and decorating their brand new creations.  Thanks so much Mr. Charlie and Ms. Heather for a GREAT day!!!

Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com.

Mr. Charlie and Ms. Heather will be back on Tuesday!!!!  Get ready to build! :)

3D Objects

Friendly Frogs-

I am very sorry that we didn't have a chance to create a 3D object with our friends from Home Depot yesterday. They will be back very soon to help us create something very special. Mr. Charlie and Ms. Heather tried to get to everyone yesterday but didn't realize that it would take 2+ hours to finish one class. :) Thanks for your understanding.

Homework Packet Starts This Week

On Wednesday/Thursday your child will be bringing home their monthly homework packet.  This packet is designed to help your child stay connected with the learning going on the classroom.  It is important for you to note that this packet is designed to be completed throughout the ENTIRE month.  We have attached a calendar as a suggested pacing guide for the activities.  Please help your child work through the activities a little each day instead of completing the activities all in one night.  At the end of each month (Wednesday for A group and Thursday for B group), your child will turn in their packet along with their homework folder.  If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment on this post or send me an email.  Thanks in advance for your time and support in your child's education.

Weekly Reflection

What another great week! The students worked very hard to learn the letters J-N, identify the setting in stories, and hear the parts in words.   In Math, the students loved exploring dominos.  They had to count the dots to find the total number and then find the total number card around the room.

This week the students will identify letters O-S, talk about the sequence in stories, and hear the beginning sound in words.  In Math, we will continue to work on counting numbers to find the total number and explore patterns.

See my Busy Bees on Monday and my Friendly Frogs on Tuesday! :)
