Pick-Up and Drop-Off Plan

Here is the map for our transportation plan.  Mrs. Walker will give more information and advice about pick-up and drop-off during her transportation sessions held today (10:00 a.m.), tomorrow (1:00 p.m.), or Monday (5:00 p.m. or 7 p.m.).  If you are unable to attend one of these sessions please contact Mrs. Walker at walker_s2@westcler.org.

Slowly Coming Together!

I have been into school a few times last week but this is a BIG work week for me.  I hope to have the room ready to go for you by Friday.  Here are some picture updates.

New Reading Program!

 I am so excited for your child to experience a new literacy program called Reading Street.  I used the program last year in 2nd grade and loved it.  In your child's room he or she will receive whole group and small group instruction which allows for differentiation of instruction.  The materials and books are very engaging and have students wishing for more literacy time! :)


Your child will learn through different "units of study" that incorporate key concepts of Social Studies and Science along literacy skills.  Each week your child will learn songs and poems around the theme, read books at their level, and focus on fundamental comprehension skills needed to become successful readers.  I can't wait for your child to experience this interactive and literature rich based program.

Kindergarten Supply List

For all you early shoppers and deal getter here is the district's supply list for Kindergarten and 1st grade.  I will be having community supplies this year, which means that all supplies will be collected at the beginning of the year and placed on the tables to be used by all students.  Please DO NOT put your child's name his/her school supplies.
